AEI Corporation Website
We are fortunate to have partnered with BOLD ARRAY almost two decades. Through their keen eye for web design, images that tell a story, and backend support the traffic to our website sees significant increase in visits annually. We know that our website is a great tool in driving our sales.
The Challenge
AEI Corporation’s previous website had served the company for more than 12 years. While the business and its brands had continued to evolve, its digital presence had not. The site had become visually dated and no longer reflected the quality of AEI’s products or the direction of its brand.
With five brands and an extensive selection of commercial grilling and heating solutions, the larger challenge was presenting a substantial product catalog without overwhelming visitors. Businesses needed to quickly understand AEI’s offerings, move naturally between brands and product series, and find the right solution for their application.
The new website needed to feel modern, clean and professional while keeping the design deliberately out of the way. The products needed to be the star.
Our Approach
We began by establishing a simple information architecture based on how AEI’s products are actually organized: first by brand, then by product series. This created a predictable path through the catalog and allowed each brand to maintain its own identity while remaining part of a cohesive AEI experience.
We paired strong product imagery with clean layouts, generous spacing, and focused messaging, allowing visitors to concentrate on the products rather than unnecessary interface elements.
Bold Array developed all of the website’s content and messaging, creating a consistent voice across brands, series, and individual products.
Behind the experience, we developed a custom CMS and product database specifically around AEI’s needs. The site was built as a responsive, mobile-first experience so that customers can comfortably research products whether they’re at a desk, on a job site, or working from a mobile device.
Search visibility was considered throughout the project rather than added after launch. The site’s architecture, content, and product information were developed with both traditional SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) in mind, including structured data and JSON-LD to give search engines and AI-driven platforms greater context about AEI, its brands, and its products.
The Result
The finished website gave AEI a digital presence that finally matched the company’s updated branding direction and the quality of the products it represents.
A catalog spanning five brands and numerous products is now presented through a clear brand-and-series hierarchy that makes the site easier to understand and products easier to discover. The clean, product-forward design puts AEI’s photography and equipment at the center of the experience while providing customers with the information they need to evaluate their options.
The response has extended beyond the internal team. AEI has repeatedly received positive feedback from customers about the quality and usability of the website, and the project has earned industry awards for its design and execution.
More importantly, the new site provides AEI with a modern digital foundation built to evolve alongside its brands, products and marketing strategy—rather than simply replacing the website that came before it.
